Indochina Sense Exhibition 2024

As part of the Hanoi Creative Design Festival, which spanned seven of Hanoi's iconic historical landmarks and offers a vibrant series of engaging activities, artist Pham Ngoc Tram will showcase her research, collection, and experimentation with Vietnamese embroidery heritage from the Indochina period. The unique feature of Indochina embroidery is its rich indigenous materials. Silk and silk threads from craft villages in the delta region, hand-dyed color palettes made from natural materials such as leaves, tubers, and roots of local plants, along with traditional dyeing techniques and compositions, create color harmonies that vividly express the consciousness, aesthetics, and rich soul of Vietnamese culture. She will also spend every day at the Festival practicing her art, teaching and inspiring visitors about the beauty of Vietnamese embroidery.
